December 4th EGAD First Friday
December 4th EGAD First Friday Artwalk from 5:30 to 9:00 PM will feature wonderful and acclaimed Cocoa Beach artist Rick Piper. Three years ago at the Brevard Art Museum Rick accomplished the near impossible: His painting, "Flowing Oak and Rocketree," won best of show and the purchase award at the museum's juried show. This last TGIF Florida Today boasted Rick's design for the poster of this year's Space Coast Art Show on the cover. Piper's dazzling, curvilinear, surreal seascapes are amazing! November 6th EGAD First Friday
This EGAD First Friday Artwalk November 6th from 5:30 - 9:00 PM at Highway Grrls we will have the wonderful Humberto Rebollo showing his latest work. Humberto lives to paint and paints many hours every single day. He has been influenced by Picasso and pop artists (particularly Peter Max). Humberto uses both arcyllic and oil on canvas and wood and the occasional novel surface. Come see Humberto's lovely work, often of women to find some affordable and lovely local art. Local art makes great Christmas gifts so come and do some early shopping. Both the Art and Antique Studio and the 5th Avenue Gallery will have their holiday boutique shows so be prepared to shop for exceptionally unique gifts in the Eau Gallie Arts District. Don't forget about Link at Eau Gallie Florist as well as the Museum gift shop and school gift shop. And Valerie will be open over at Indian River Potters on Guava. Wonderful music in the park with musician Chris Kahl. Chris will perform his collection of songs that celebrate the Sunshine State and other selections. Click here for information on Chris. The Mark Baker Band will be rocking the house down out front and lovely treats await strollers inside Highway Grrls. After Max has spent many months in Southern France doing a serious job (see above) he is back to share the ART SIDE of his trip. Come and visit with Max and enjoy his new lovely landscapes of Tuscany and other beautiful venues.
Highway Grrls Gallery and Studio will offer tasty treats and The Mark Baker Band will be rocking the house down. So mark your calendars to come on out for the Eau Gallie Arts District First Friday Art Walk on September 4th!

Dog Days of Summer First Friday at Highway Grrls
with the Indian River Potters' Guild!
Mark your calendars for a sizzling August 7th First Friday Art Walk at Highway Grrls from 5:30 to 9:00 PM as the Indian River Potters' Guild takes over the back patio for hands on demonstrations of the creation of unique ceramic art! When the weather gets hot, get wet with ceramics crafting! Come join potters who will be doing wheel and slab building demonstrations throughout the evening.
In the main Highway Grrls Gallery Robin will have tasty refreshments and a new show which is still evolving utilizing the lapel “ribbons” concept which helps us demonstrate support of a cause. See where Robin takes this new adventure with acrylic on paper crafted into a three dimensional objects which achieve “stand
alone” art when hung. Quite the surprising show! The Mark Baker Band will be out front back by popular demand so come on out and “party with art” on August 7th from 5:30 to 9:00 PM for another Eau Gallie Arts District Art Walk. Remember there is live Jazz Friday and the Take Out Show extended at the Brevard Art Museum and both Art and Antique Studio and Fifth Avenue Gallery will have new shows so there is something for everyone! Look for craft vendors in the park!

Get ready for Eau Gallie’s pre Fourth of July Extravaganza:
A Star Spangled Evening! We will be extending the First Friday Art Walk hours to 10:00pm to accommodate the grandeur of the event! Highway Grrls will be hosting Humberto Rebollo’s recent series of patriotic portraits of President Obama. Robin will be showing larger paintings done from the Paris cityscapes workshop. Watch for lots to be going on up and down Highland Avenue with music, food art, entertainment and fun for the entire family.

Robin Rothrock has just returned from Paris where she stayed at the historical Four Seasons George V, and her amazing room and beautiful private terrace inspired her to paint flowers! She shared her floor with Saudi Royalty in a hotel noted for its colorful and historical visitors, but still made time for folks from back home. Hear her stories and see new works. Humberto Rebollo will be joining Robin out on the back patio previewing some of his recent work including some very novel new paintings.

Born in Leesburg, Florida, 33 year old Luke Andrews received his Media Arts Degree from the University of South Carolina. Upon Graduating, Luke traveled to Milan, Italy and fell in love with the country. He soon began attracting gallerists and art collectors with his unique style of landscape and cityscape paintings. Since 2000, Luke has split time between studios in Milan and Central Florida. A regular exhibitor in Italy and throughout Europe, Luke has had his Central Florida paintings exhibited in the Orlando Mayor’s Gallery at City Hall and the Orlando Museum of Art, among other Florida venues. Best known for his vibrant, colorful cityscapes and landscapes, Luke’s medium of choice is acrylic paint on canvas.
Luke will be showing on the back patio with new work, so come check it out! The fabulous Mark Baker Band will be on hand playing out front and Humberto Rebollo will be showing his beautifully inspired work also in front adjacent to the band. Robin Rothrock will be hosting the main gallery with her gorgeous new work accompanied by tasty hors d’oeuvres and wine samplings.
So DON’T MISS the famous Eau Gallie Arts District First Friday Art Walk along the scenic Indian River. We’ll see you there!!

April 3rd Highway Grrls presents new artist

Check out this exciting new artist who has returned from an eight year painting jaunt in Italy. Luke Andrews returns to his family home in Merritt Island and brings with him a wealth of beautiful paintings depicting local landscapes of Merritt Island, Cocoa Village and Orlando. Luke will be out on the back patio with approximately 20 new pieces so there is plenty to check out! Come out and PARTY WITH ART! The Mark Baker Band will be playing out front at Highway Grrls. Robin Rothrock will be in the main gallery with her new work and plenty of tasty treats and refreshments. Robin is exploring different champagne punches replete with ice molds so come out and ENJOY!

February 6th HEARTS ARE IN THE AIR along Highland Avenue!
Come out and enjoy a brisk evening along the lovely Indian River as Highway Grrls enjoys February Festivities! Robin has completed over 15 BEAUTIFUL heart themed paintings which are reasonably priced and make a fantastic Valentine. Max Rener has finished a truly lovely large painting of two swans and Humberto Rebollo will be showing his latest included several “love themed” pieces. So come out and party with art!
