FIRST FRIDAY!

Come to the Eau Gallie Arts District every First Friday of the month! Highway Grrls is pleased to open its doors from 5:30 to 9:00 PM with refreshments, music and art! Robin Rothrock showcases her innovative visual art created by using acrylic paint on multiple surfaces including but not limited to glass blocks, paper, wood, lampshades, ceramic tile, metal and of course canvas. HIGHWAY GRRLS NEXT FIRST FRIDAY
September 5 — Maximilian Rener will be the featured artist at Highway Grrls Gallery for First Friday on September 5, 2008 He has recently returned from his home in Milan, Italy, after spending five months studying art and enjoying his family. Max has been a .Jack of all trades,. helping merchants up and down Highland Avenue with a variety of jobs. He seems to be a master about just about everything, from electrical to computers. He has been trained in architecture, and prefers realism when it comes to painting. He also plays classical guitar, flute, and even bagpipes! He will playing classical guitar on the patio surrounded by his painting for First Friday. He is also an excellent cook and will offer one of his favorite dishes for tasting.

UPCOMING FIRST FRIDAYS: 5:30 to 9:00 PM
October 4th — Robin Rothrock will showcase her “monolith” Plexiglas floor lamps that will tower up to six feet tall!. Come enjoy the ever popular Mark Baker Band out front and enjoy the original and POWERFUL new art from Robin combining sculpture AND painting! We will have light refreshments and the ever popular back patio open.

November 7thDaylight Savings time ends the Sunday before First Friday so mark your calendars! The days are cooling down and daylight is shorter which means the patio comes alive with indirect lighting and magic. As plans progress on our event we keep you posted. The Mark Baker Band will join us and light refreshments will be served. A drummer may find his/her way on the patio!

December 5th — Expect a holiday themed First Friday and be prepared to view red and green paintings with an unusual take on the season. Again we will be open with the Mark Baker Band, the beautifully lighted patio and light refreshments. Come out and begin getting in the spirit of the season!
